Deaf Woman Finalist for National Disability Awards

Deaf WA woman, Drisana Levitzke-Gray, has been announced as a finalist in the National Disability Awards, held at Parliament House each year on 3 December.

DrisanaAt age 20, Ms Levitzke-Gray is a self-motivated young Deaf woman who promotes and supports the Deaf community in a voluntary capacity, inspiring others along the way.
Ms Levitzke-Gray is an active participant in local Deaf community activities and she is the youngest committee member of the Western Australian Association of the Deaf (WAAD).
The Emerging Leaders Award category recognises an individual aged 15-35 years at time of nomination, with lived disability experience who demonstrates leadership qualities in their community through raising awareness and/or improving outcomes for people with disability.
