Support for Deaf people at work

Support for Deaf people at work JobAccess Australia

Deaf people who are looking for work, or who are employed (full-time, part-time or casual), can receive advice and support from the Australian Government’s JobAccess program.

The Employment Assistance Fund (EAF) provides funding for jobseekers to book interpreters for job interviews. The EAF will also fund interpreters for Deaf employees – this could include onsite or remote (skype) interpreting and/or live captioning services.
The program also supports workplace modifications for Deaf employees and Auslan and Deaf Awareness training for co-workers.
To find out more about JobAccess and the EAF program, download the flyer or go to the JobAccess website: jobaccess.gov.au
