Information session on the royal commissionThe Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sex Abuse is holding a deaf-friendly information session to enable deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing people and their families as well as organisations all over Australia to understand its very important work.

The information session is being organised by the Deaf Society of NSW and all Deaf people are invited to attend. You do not have to have experienced sexual abuse to attend.
Date: 4 August 2014
Time: 5.30pm  – 7.30pm
Where: Park Royal Hotel in Parramatta.
The information session will also be webcast so anyone Australia (particularly people in other states) can watch. It will have audio, Auslan interpreters and live captions.
The session is open to anyone and is an excellent chance to see Commissioner Robert Fitzgerald AM explain the Royal Commission’s work.
You do not need to have had a personal experience with sexual abuse. Perhaps you know someone who has had an experience and you want to find out how the Royal Commission can support them to get involved. Perhaps you just want to have a better understanding of the work of the Royal Commission.
