General terms and conditions of sale
These terms and general conditions concern the products sold on Deaf Australia’s Auslan Shop website: www.deafaustralia.org.au/auslan-shop
We will clearly mark if items on the shop need to be backordered otherwise if it is on the website, we have the stock. Your order is recorded as soon as it is entered. We will then process the order. If it is out of stock, we will communicate with you and work together to come to a solution.
The prices and any offers listed on our site are valid as long as they are available for sale.
We cannot be held responsible for any product offered on this site being out of stock or with our suppliers.
We will remove any product from our site once we have been notified by its supplier that it is permanently out of stock, or when we have made the decision to no longer stock this item.
When a product ordered is unavailable, the customer will be informed by email at the email address provided by the customer.
Prices are indicated in AUD, including all taxes, packaging, transport, storage, and any other costs incurred by the supplier. The items ordered are invoiced on the basis of the current price at the time the order is registered.
The price is payable in full and in a single instalment when the order is placed. All orders are invoiced in AUD and payable in AUD.
Unless otherwise expressly stated, the price and any other sums payable or consideration to be provided under or in accordance with the Purchase Order or these Conditions are inclusive of GST (as defined under the GST Act).
Shipping costs are calculated as accurately as possible according to your provided delivery address and the total weight of the products in your order. You can get an estimate by putting together a basket with the products you are interested in.
You can pay by credit or debit card (Visa and Mastercard both accepted) via the Stripe payment system. If you have your NDIS Plan managed or self-managed, contact us for the invoice. We also accept payment by bank transfer if you prefer to pay this way, contact us. When we receive the funds, your order will be processed and delivered. The price shown at the time of payment is the entire price you are expected to pay, unless you have a specific delivery place where our delivery service cannot deliver to, according to their policies. Our deliveries are made to the address indicated on the order form. In the event of a delay in shipment, you will be notified by email.
Our delivery service (Sendle) cannot pick up from or deliver to certain places such as auction houses, malls or shopping centres, furniture and retail stores, hospitals, airports, military bases and PO boxes. If this is the only place to deliver your products to, we will use Australia Post, and we may need to ask you to pay extra for shipping costs. We cannot deliver to international countries.
Deliveries are made from Monday to Friday (except on public holidays).
When you place an order on our website, it will be processed in 2-3 days. Parcels will usually arrive within 5 days (within 16 days for people living in WA) of the delivery estimate provided. You will automatically receive a tracking number from Sendle. If your order is sent via Australia Post, the Auslan Shop will provide you a tracking number via email. Australia Post deliveries are usually within 3-6 business days.
Deaf Australia is not responsible for delivery delays by Sendle or Australia Post.
Legal guarantee of conformity
Legal guarantee of conformity for standard products (books, DVDs, etc.)
The products we sell are new and guaranteed against any defect when they leave our Auslan Shop. In the event of a defect in a product sent, it is up to the customer to return it to us as soon as possible, and no later than 15 days after receipt of your package, accompanied by your return label. Before sending it, please take a photo of the product/s for proof of defect and send it to us via email to [email protected]
You will be provided with a return label when you contact us.
The replacement of the defective product will be done as soon as possible, at the very latest within one month after the return of the defective item. If the product in question is no longer available, it will be reimbursed within 15 days of the customer’s complaint.
