Hey! You’ve not yet registered for camp – you’re thinking it’s closed, all spots are full and you’re disappointed you’ve missed out.
Well, hold on a sec, I’ve exciting news to announce! You’re all so lucky; we’ve had people contacting us to tell us they’re disappointed to have missed out on registering for camp…Our team are as keen as to make sure that people who want to go to camp can do so. So we contacted the camp site to negotiate and they’re good-hearted – they’ve agreed to extend the registration by two weeks until Friday 3rd March. But: we’ve only got 10 spots extra. That’s our maximum capacity. So if you want to come, book your spot NOW before these spots are gone! See you there!
Some of you might be wondering what is Crossing Borders Youth Camp for? The vision and purpose for this camp is to support Deaf/Hard of Hearing youth aged 13-17 years old to develop their self-esteem, personal and leadership skills as well as expanding and building their friendship networks. At the camp, participants will be involved with teamwork building workshops, outdoor adventure activities and environment education. The program itself is designed to be entertaining, caring, and challenging with a variety of activities. For many Deaf/Hard of Hearing youths, attending camps is a difficult experience due to communication barriers so this camp’s goal is to provide all with a camp that is accessible and empowering for youths.

When you register, you will receive an information booklet that specifies the airport meeting point as well as an emergency phone number that you and your child can access to contact camp leaders if anything urgent happens when travelling. For Sunday April 16th, all campers who are flying out of Brisbane will depart camp at 1pm on a coach directly to Brisbane airport for 2pm arrival. Camp leaders will be with the campers.
