Deaf South Australian man Bruce Muller has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) on the Queen’s birthday weekend, 9 June 2014, for his service to deaf and hard of hearing people.

Deaf Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Kyle Miers to the role of Deaf Australia Chief Executive Officer. Mr Miers takes on this position after the incumbent Executive Officer, Ms Karen Lloyd AM, retired in February.
